Baby Showers

Wow, 3 baby showers in 2 weeks means a lot of amazing stuff for Giada, Mommy, and Daddy! My amazing co-workers threw a shower for me and then I also had 2 family/friend showers. We are so blessed to have so many people who love us. Mommy and Daddy spent a lot of time getting Giada's nursery set up:  clothes, blankets, burp clothes, bibs, hats, socks, etc. all washed and put away, decor on the walls, bouncer, swing, and jump-a-roo put together, toys and closets organized, an so on! It was so much fun; I don't know who enjoyed it more me or Brian!
I am 30 weeks pregnant today, which means only about 10 more weeks to go! My doctor's appointments are now every 2 weeks. Giada is moving all the time (except for when family or friends want to feel her). I am so blessed to be on summer break from school. I am now officially a stay-at-home Mommy for the next 7 months! I will not return to work until January, a decision Brian and I made together feeling it was best for our family. I will have about 2 months before Giada gets here for enjoying "me" time - I plan to spend many days in the pool soaking up the sun, laying on the couch watching TV/movies, taking naps, loving on my Wrigley boy and giving him 100% of my attention and talking to him about his role as a big brother. I also plan to prep/cook a few meals to freeze for easy cooking once Giada is here. And of course going to fun family and friend events like lots of weddings.

23 weeks

25 weeks - Wrigley wanted his picture taken, too!

I am now 27 weeks and 2 days, beginning the 3rd and final trimester. I have 9 more days of work with my students, then a teacher work day. I am so ready to not be on my feet all day! All the ladies who have been pregnant and worked up til the end I give you serious credit!! This baby bump is getting heavy and is a lot to carry around all day. As you can see, my torso is so small it has no where to grow but out. Giada is moving all the time, from kicks & jabs to body rolls. Brian loves to talk to her and poke my belly until she kicks back. My next doctor's appointment is next Wednesday. I have my blood glucose test. Then I'll go back every 2 weeks until the final month when I go weekly. I have a feeling summer is going to fly by!
