Half way through June!

Wow, June is already half over. Summer always seems to be the fastest time of year. Our June is very busy and full of things to do. July is still busy, but the calendar is a bit lighter (because I didn't think I'd want to be on the go so much at 9 months pregnant). I think time will slow down slightly in July because I've been told that the last few weeks tend to drag on for what my feel like forever.
I had my pre-admission appointment at The Women's Hospital this morning. We got my paperwork started for my labor/delivery. It reminded me of when I bought my house. So many forms to go over and sign. However it will make it much easier when I do go into labor to not have to sign a ton of forms.
Last night was the worst night sleep I've experienced yet. I was up every 2 hours because I was hot, thirsty, and had to use the restroom. Plus I struggled to get comfortable. I would drink a large glass of water each time which I'm sure didn't help the next restroom wake up call but man was I hot and thirsty. The fan blowing on me is most likely why I my throat was dry and thirsty, but it keeps me less hot so it stays on. These next few weeks could get interesting...but I'm sure not as interesting as those first few weeks/nights with Giada.
Giada's hospital bag is packed and I've started packing mine and Brian's bag, which makes this all very real. Not that I didn't know this time would come, but the fact that it could be anywhere from 4-7 weeks away is just crazy. Exciting, but crazy. Our next step is to get the car seat bases installed in our cars and then checked. We have a breastfeeding class this week and our birthing classes in 2 weeks. We got a video monitor this past weekend that we are going to set up and test out this week, too. Then everything should be good to go.

Braxton Hicks

From the title of this post you can guess that I have started feeling those first few early contractions. Brian and I both think it will be interesting to see how the whole labor/delivery process goes. He is curious to see what my pain tolerance is and he's worried about seeing me in pain and not being able to do anything about it. He is so great! I too am anxious to see what my pain tolerance is because up to this point in my life it has been pretty low. Haha! But I know the pain of labor/delivery will be for a good reason. Plus I am all about getting pain relief from an epidural.
This past weekend I was in my cousin Jenny's wedding. It was a busy weekend and she and Brad had a beautiful wedding day. We also got to see my family from Florida and Texas! We haven't seen our FL family since our wedding and its been even longer since we've seen our TX family. It was great to see and visit with them! Brian had his first softball game of the summer on Sunday. And believe it or not we were both falling asleep on the couch by 7:00 Sunday night. It was a great, but exhausting weekend. And we are gearing up for another fun filled weekend. This Friday is our monthly dinner/game night with friends, Saturday we have a graduation party for one of my cousins and then another cousin is getting married. Sunday is Father's Day and another softball game. Good thing I'm off work to get stuff done around the house during the week!
I go back to the doctor again tomorrow for my 32 week check up. The weeks are flying by. We are getting so excited to meet Miss Giada Mae!
