Happy New Year!

I think its an under statement to say that I find it hard to make time to write on this blog. That being said, with a second baby on the way time will be even harder to find. However, I am NOT giving up. I may not blog often but I will do my best to document our crazy, busy lives with a few stories, pictures, and videos.
We had a blessed Thanksgiving with family in Evansville and Valparaiso. As well as Christmas celebrated in both cities. We had 9 Christmas celebrations this year and we made it to 7 of them. We were busy, busy, busy! Giada enjoyed Christmas a little more this year. She was a little overwhelmed with all the opening. After the first few presents she just wanted to play. I used to think Christmas was best as a child, but now that I get to experience it as a parent it is so much better. Amid all the holiday celebrations and hustle and bustle we found some time to visit the Polar Express in French Lick, IN. Giada enjoyed seeing Santa.

I am now in my third trimester and feeling all the aches that go along with being this pregnant. In about 10 weeks we should be able to meet our newest baby girl. Brian and I have been spending our weekends (and most week nights) trying to get everything done on our to-do list. From cooking and freezing meals, to getting house projects done, to completely moving Giada to a new bedroom and working on getting what we need for Keira's room.
Giada has been talking more and more. She is learning where her body parts are (head, toes, ears, nose, belly, etc.) as well as animal names and sounds. The first animal sound she learned was "woof-woof" - imagine that living with Wrigley. She can now moo like a cow, quack like a duck, oink like a pig, and we're working on horse. It is simply amazing to watch her learn new things. She LOVES to read. We spend many hours with Giada sitting in Mommy or Daddy's lap reading books. She has also started helping with chores around the house such as laundry and unloading the dishwasher. She is also learning to dance. She swings her hips and bends her knees and it is the cutest thing!
