Changes

Becoming a parent changes everything. Any parent would agree with that statement, and its so funny how when I was pregnant Brian and I knew things were going to change but I don't think we realized that EVERYTHING was about to change. Like the fact that before baby it took me 1 hour and 15 minutes to get ready. Now, give me 20 minutes and I'm ready and Giada's ready. That our evenings used to be spent on the couch watching every show on television and now they are spent on the floor playing or in the hallway watching Giada jump in the door frame of our spare bedroom. That we'd go from 1-2 loads of laundry a week to 1-2 loads of laundry a day! That I have fears I never before knew existed. That too many of my conversations are about poop (color, texture, amount).
You hear people say it a lot, but we really wouldn't change a thing. God has blessed us with a miracle. Giada is such a good baby! She sleeps good, eats good, and is a happy baby. She and Wrigley get along so well. Giada is 7 1/2 months old (whoa!). She is transitioning from 3 naps down to 2. The sound of the week is /b/ and along with it blowing raspberries! Her preferred method of movement is rolling, but she is starting to get her butt up in the air and is scooting around like an inch worm.
More changes are coming my way at work. Next year I will be a 3rd grade teacher. I am excited about the change, but it is a lot of work to change grade levels and this move also requires a classroom move across the building. That means I've taught 4 grade levels in 6 years (4th, 1st, K, and soon to be 3rd). God is using me and working through me and I trust that I'm always where He needs me to be.
