2 month milestones

Holy moly, my baby boy is 2 months old already! At his check up today he weighed 14 lbs 11.8 oz and measured 23 3/4 inches. He is in the 96th percentile! He is doing GREAT with tummy time and can hold his head up 90 degrees. He smiles, coos, and laughs - and it is beyond precious! He likes to be swaddled to sleep. He is finally starting to fall into a routine and be on a schedule - making his Mommy and Daddy so very happy. The Deardurff family thrives on routine! His night time sleep is starting to stretch out, giving Mommy some much needed rest.
Also this week we signed our big girl up for preschool. My babies are growing up so fast! I can't believe she is old enough for preschool. She is so excited and we talk about school all the time. I think I will cry and she will be fine on her first day in Aug. She knows Mommy is a teacher, so let's hope she knows Mommy will not be her teacher (at least not yet).
Mommy found out she will be switching grade levels (and classrooms) AGAIN this fall. I will be teaching 4th grade math next year. While I am excited to focus on one curriculum (I'm a super math nerd), I am not excited to pack up and move across the school again. Nor am I excited about starting my resources from scratch, again. All while learning to be a working mom of two children and pumping while working this fall.
Our family has upgraded from an SUV to a minivan and this momma couldn't be more excited! I just love my new swagger wagon! Automatic opening doors are amazing and a necessity with two kiddos. Mommy's new car is big and roomy!
The 10 day weather forecast shows some temps in the 40s and 50s. We are hoping spring is just around the corner. We can't wait to play outside!

February snow fun!

Thanks USI alumni assoc. for the t-shirt.

Mommy's breakfast buddy! I'll miss this when I go back to work.

Feeding "Simba's Daddy".

Mommy was feeding little brother, so big sister went and got the extra boppy to feed Simba.

Dressed up in her Elsa dress to go see Princesses on ice. She loved it and sang along to every song.

His big sister is so encouraging! These moments melt my heart. I thank God for blessing me to be their Mommy.

  1. They are so lucky to have you as their mommy! Giada is so incredibly smart, I will miss those mornings but excited for her new adventure (plus mamaw getting adjusted to two kids).
