Summer is Here!

Summer is finally here! Giada and I are thrilled to be spending every day together. She gets to play with her cousin Tyler every Tuesday and go to Kindermusik class every Wednesday. All of our other days we get to do what we want, when we want. Such a lovely schedule. If Giada had it her way we'd play outside all day, everyday. This girl LOVES to be outside. Swinging, walking to see the horses, walking Wrigley, riding in her wagon, watering the flowers, riding in her car, throwing the ball for Wrigley, eating a snack at the outdoor table, playing with chalk, and the list goes on and on. She gets so excited to be outside that she won't walk, she runs.
Yesterday we spent the day at the zoo with Tyler and Mamaw. Giada and Tyler both got to feed the giraffes. Giada LOVED it! She is such an animal lover.
My two goals for this summer are to potty train Giada and to break her of her habit of sleeping with her paci.  I think the later will be the tougher goal to achieve. Giada has a new potty chair and a  princess potty seat to put on the big potty. She shows some interest and we've had 2 successful pee-pees on the potty. Yay! Its funny that the incentive she finds most motivating is getting to wash her hands when she is done.
Giada is obsessed with the movie Frozen. We have probably watched it a couple dozen times. I know it word for word and Giada knows most of the songs. It is so sweet to hear her sing along. She is so very smart in so many ways. She blows me away with how quickly she learns new things. Her vocabulary is huge and so very impressive.

  1. She is such a sweet, smart girl. I loved it today and when she clearly said "thank you" to Wrigs for laying down. :) She does love to be outside and having her mommy at home!
