Wrigley is still being a fabulous big brother. He beats us to her when she makes any noise. :-) For the most part she is only fussy when she needs to be changed or wants to eat. She is definitely her Daddy's girl cause she is gassy, which also makes her a little upset as she grunts and toots.
Giada is falling into somewhat of a predictable routine. We read Babywise to give us goals to work toward and these people are on to something! She's on about a 3 hour feeding schedule in the morning and then 2 1/2 - 3 hours in the afternoon/evening. She has started to have 4 hour stretches after her late evening feeding, giving Mommy an extra hour of night time sleep which is SPECTACULAR. Other Babywise parents had their babies sleeping through the night by 5-8 weeks old...we'll see how Giada does. Right now, seeing that she is less than 4 weeks old, we aren't letting her go longer than 5 hours at night. I set an alarm to make sure, but it never goes off because Giada lets us know when she is hungry! :-)
Giada is no longer in "newborn" diapers. We used all the newborn diapers people had bought us and then she was big enough to move into 1s. Some of her newborn sleepers are also getting tight on her legs.
She does not like sleeping flat on her back. She prefers the napper on her pack-n-play or her bouncer. She can be reclined in them, instead of flat on her back which is what she prefers. Funny how she has her own preferences already.
When Giada was 1 week old we had newborn pictures taken by my incredible sister and brother-in-law, Roberson Photography.
